If you saw my Gingerbread House post yesterday, you will see we have not quite reached the artistic perfection of these houses. These were part of a holiday display at Turning Stone Casino in Oneida NY! We have a few casinos in New York. Of course, not as many as 'Vegas and certainly not all in one spot. This one happens to be where I spent my honey moon MANY years ago and is around 2 hours away from where we live.
We didn't visit this year, but got these photos from the Grandparents.
As Luke said when he looked at these photos, they make it look SO EASY!

He was the same kid who claimed a tornado and hurricane hit his gingerbread house and too bad the owner didn't have insurance. This was said through munching and crunchy as he devoured the wall of his house.
Enjoy these creations....I will be back in a day or so with more snow photos. Our ice storm turned to snow storm which resulted in the loss of Internet and then later power. So, just in recovery mode here although it is bright and beautiful outside today. Thankfully we were back to business as usual this morning.
The trees have a light coating of snow and I would like to get some pretty photos for you people missing snow or wishing to see snow someday!
Absolutely amazing!! They do make it looks sooo easy!! I've only ever tried it once & it was flippin' difficult!!!
ReplyDeleteHenry just declared they were 'cool'. We don't do many gingerbread houses here but it does look like fun - guaranteed mine would be a very leaning house with too many lollies on it (just so I could eat them later).xx
ReplyDeleteI wish you could get the feeling of just how big these Gingerbread houses are- the steeple is over 6' tall on the church! We heard that the Turining Stone Casino almost did not have the display of gingerbread houses.... but changed their mind. I am so glad they did! Gretchen from NY
ReplyDeleteThese are just gorgeous!! I have never perfected that craft! :):):):):):):):):):):)
ReplyDeleteAwww, those little windows with the itty bitty lights in them...so stinkin' cute!!
ReplyDeleteThose are gorgeous! I agree with Helen, I tried to make my own before and I failed dismally. It looked like something a two year old threw together. LOL
ReplyDeleteWOW WOW WOW....just gorgeous...do you get to eat them later hahahah!!!
