Head on over to Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge to check out the new challenge! Here it is in a nutshell:
Using sketch 8 ‐ Scrap an Easter memory (preferably when you were young) using spring colours in
your layout.
I think it's a very interesting sketch open to a lot of interpretation. I chose to run lace and baker's twine to represent the strips and I journaled in an interesting location to follow the idea on the sketch. Also, please keep in mind that this doesn't HAVE to be your childhood if you are without photos. It can be you watching your child hunt for eggs or something similar. What about a photo of an Easter Flower that brings back a memory?
I am offering two little prize packs if you leave me a comment on my post that you have played along so stay tuned. I was out junkin' this past weekend and found something really cool. Well, not REALLY cool, but useful if you are into mists....And I'd like to share the two extra I have and no doubt it will come with something else fun....like homemade flowers or whatnot....
Here are some close ups....of my page.
This crackle metal piece I made is one of my favorites. The tutorial for this should be up on the Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge on March 22nd.
Here is another close up...and you can see a Purple Pumpkin Button that I have been hoarding for a special occasion on the picture below and the one above that is from Eye Candy Magic.
And a little side view!
Please come play along, I really love seeing what you Scrapstars come up with!
And: If you are turning your head sideways to read my journaling, here it is:
Easter was always exciting trying to find my basket, I always worried it would be hidden in the chicken coop and they were pecking at my jelly beans or chocolate rabbit. Thankfully it was always in a safer location and usually indoors.
I do think it's important you know that I might be slightly chicken phobic for you girls scrapping with chicken wire (wink wink) and talking about Chooks. My chocolate rabbits were the big variety so you can see my concern about sharing them.
HI.. there is always more to your layouts than meets the eye and when i look at them i can see the details.. like the embossing, the flowers, and i love the journalling around the layout like that.. and sweet photo with happy memories too!! wonderful take on the challenge!
