Scrap for Help Layout: Shirts from Marilyn Layout
So, when I open my mail, I usually stand over my shredder since most of what comes in the mail these days isn't anything worth keeping. It goes out just as fast as it comes in via my little green recycling container.
However, once in a while you get something lovely in the way of a nice sturdy piece of cardboard that can be reused. My favorite use is for a tag.
I actually made the tag above as a stand alone item but then really wanted to add it to something.
Here is a close up. It doesn't really matter what the base of this is when you cover it with ripped paper, flowers, and a rub-on!
Can you see the dark green top of this tag? That is another piece of cardboard, this time from a package that was hanging. Also, the little green leaves are another piece of cardboard, run through my Big Shot with a Spell Binder die.
A little more about my page:
If you use the same papers you used on your page, you then have a nice matching accent.
These papers are new and are from Close to My Heart and I used up the last of them on this page! The brown velvet on my tag and also the scallop on the top part of my page are also new from Close to My Heart and are velvet rub-ons. I am loving them and their new gems that keep their shape when you take them off the clear backing.
And how to you love my little Valentine! It's my first digital purchase from Etsy and I love it! I think next year I may make my own Valentine's Day cards using it!
And, a little background about my page? Aunt Marilyn is a fairy god Mother and is also sending my kids fun treats to enjoy! Their little package this year included shirts!
Linking this up with the Scrap for Help March challenge that is asking for cardboard to be used in your creation. You can check it out here and while you are there, take a quick peek at my winning page on their banner! I am over the moon happy!
