Nice Crane Designs Snow White Hook Board

The other day I asked Ignacio at Nice Crane Designs if he would be coming out with any Snow White images since that new movie is in the theaters. It looks like it will be a really good movie although I am thinking it might not be one to take the kids to!

About a day later, these images showed up ready for me to enjoy! I really liked the colors that were muted yet glowing.

I then had the hard time of picking out which images I wanted to use!

My plan was to use as many as I could on a piece all together.

Came up with the idea of making a board complete with hangers so I could use images between the hardware. Picking the colors out to make the base board wasn't all that bad. I wanted a bit of a fairy tale look.

Have you tried staining with ink pads before? It's one of my favorite ways to get something that shows a bit of the wood grain yet some nice mottled colors.

Here is a close up so you can see the shades of blue, a splash of lime green and some brown distressing ink.

Covered the whole entire thing with this new modge podge I got which is called Glitter. This looks very much like a night sky when you use it. I attached the photos (just the backs) with the Gloss Modge Podge as I printed these images out as photos. Modge is not fond of photos and will make them run, so so either just do the back or cover the front carefully with clear packing tape.

Here is another close up of my hardware, dyed yellow gauze, and flowers. I originally only had yellow and white flowers, but wanted to dye the white ones blue. Inked them up with a stamp pad and then spritzed them with a gold glimmermist.

Pretty happy with how this project turned out. I could use one for hanging a few things myself, so I will have to go shopping at Nice Crane Designs and pick out some fun images!
