We have been gathering wood for years. The first house had a nice wood stove that was great to cozy up to and of course this house has a boiler.
Usually that has not been a topic of pages because it's so routine.
I decided to scrap it right before heading off to Peru because it is sometimes the daily things that mean something ages from now.
Used a sketch from Sketchabilities choosing to ignore all the small photos and use a scallop to represent those instead. I have waited too long to post this, so they are on to a more current sketch, but I thought I'd share it anyhow.
Lizzy Hill surprised me with some really pretty tattered yellow blooms that came in my mailbox and I HAD to use them on this page with my splattered leaves, and little wood accents.
That is it for me on a Monday! Hope yours is great as the start of a fresh week!
Wowwwwwww! This is beautiful!! loving the misting and those flowers!
ReplyDeleteOh good grief, what an awesome sketch! Your LO is a knock out. Still love the story behind that woodpile.. ;) Might be too much for a card, but I'm gonna try and see..I really like it! :)

ReplyDeleteYipeee you finished the pile. Did you tie your trouser legs up before you stacked the last bit? Still have the image of you screaming at a mouse in my head. Lol!!!Lovely page and love the flowers from Lizzy H.
ReplyDeleteThose are glorious paint effects and love the way you used the flowers and buttons.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love this...great take on the sketch as well.
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful take on the sketch, love the scalloped edge punch and the misting is fabulous...and all the everyday things are important as who knows what the future will be like, wood may be scarce so your wood fires will seem like the cave men era!!! and thanks for your comments on my blog, but I really am not a super star of scrapping... maybe just a glint on the side of the milky way that if you look hard enough you will see ..haha..
ReplyDeleteLovely page of such an important part of your life & love how you interpreted the sketch to suit your needs - you clever thing you!
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the sketch and I love the fabric flowers! I think you need to journal your mouse story somewhere on there too!!
