Sun, Spray Painting & Volunteer Trailering for Memorandum Monday

What a fabulous holiday. Between Christmas, my birthday, and then New Years, I've really quite enjoyed the long break. We've had some warmer weather too so it's been quite nice working in the garage with the wood stove and painting some things. I feel that the sun on my face has renewed my soul and I'm ready to kick ass in 2017, can of spray paint in hand.

I spray painted these chairs for work on my birthday. All I wanted to do was spray paint and sand. Of course they were an icky rusty blue so fit the bill for sanding. I left the nicer ones for them to sell at the store. I went with this turquoise color as it sorta matches a color we have in our brand. Plus, I wanted them to look all kinds of funky for our Hospitality Trailer. See, we have this trailer someone bought for us to tow to events. It's pretty epic and got all outfitted recently with cool stuff.

Check out the gray and white floor that Tom, one of our volunteers installed! He has lights installed around the top that change color and this really epic table built out of a vintage door. He let us borrow his antique flag to get our trailer into the right spirit for Sparkle, it's maiden voyage to Market Street. On the side behind Tom, we have two tables stashed for events and now these chairs will help complete the set!

I'm back tomorrow with another post on more sanding & prepping for painting.

Waving hello to Sian From Hight in the Sky who hosts us for Memorandum Monday. Hopefully she feels equally refreshed after a long break!

  5. The chairs look fantastic!

I'll let you in on a secret. I nearly didn't come back at all. The end of the year seemed a good place to stop and I still have IG. BUT here I am and thanks to you and the others who kept me going last year even when I wasn't feeling very inspired, I'm willing to keep on writing for a bit longer. Thanks for that.

Wishing you and yours a Very Happy New Year. Hope 2017 is a good one for you
