Field Trip to the Cornell Learning Farm: Another Freaking Scrappy
This field trip was discussed MONTHS in advance at my house. Lexi was taking a class called CSI that combined science & health. As far as I could tell, her two awesome cool teachers got a class together and offered it to certain kids who were interested. The culmination of the class was a field trip to the Cornell Learning Farm where they built their own shelters, made their own fires, and tried their hand at geocaching.
I believe she will remember this field trip for a long time...which rolls right into the latest challenge over at Another Freaking Scrappy: Scrap or art journal about a favourite summer memory. From your long ago past, or recent past, or right now!
Now just a quick word about these photos. My daughter took them especially for this page, on purpose, which I thought was super cool!
Since I had so many to choose from, I made a photo collage in Picasa. I also printed one of the photos out in large format on white paper for my background. It's really a lovey farm. We used to drive past it often when we lived up North.
I kept the embellishments fairly simple due to the large photo collage, big wooden 7 and also the two different sets of journaling as Lexi wrote on this page as well.
I hope you get a chance to play along and capture some of those awesome memories!
And quick shout out to all those awesome teachers out there who make events like this that are so memorable!
