Sister Cities in DC for Another Freaking Scrappy

Lucky for me, Anne from over at Another Freaking Scrappy wanted us to use something on our layout that was old & some chipboard for our newest challenge. I can honestly say that this Close to My Heart We the People paper is ancient. Like I had little kids when I first bought it so over ten years old. It came in extremely handy for this layout I did of the Sister Cities Italian student's trip to Washington DC though.

Not only was that old paper perfect, the blue paper from Ruby Rock-it which is also pretty old had that cool Memories & Milestones sticker and the chippy butterfly and circle that came with it. Also upcycled a red, white and blue ribbon. Lexi was so lucky to be able to go along with this crew. They only took a couple of kids.

So glad I have the oldest trained to save memorabilia for me! Came in handy when I was trying to make this page pretty!

One more page off the list done and dusted! Thanks to Another Freaking Scrappy for encouraging me to get out my old paper & chippies! Come play along with us this time round?

  1. That's a great challenge! Of course you totally floored it:) That collage print looks awesome & the red white & blue.... just perfect for the capital & all that. Or is it capitol?? Not sure.... anyways!!!!

  2. Oh my! I'm positive that paper was before my time...but I love it and it's perfect for this layout! Great pics too...

  3. This looks wonderful.. very patriotic!! The papers look great.. old does not mean you cant use them..

  4. Stunning layout, really eye catching with the blues and reds. Love that you put the memorabilia on the layout
