I was really digging these vintage silver pitchers when I found them the other day while out junking. I decided to make a little Christmas bouquet for both and give one away! Leave me a comment on which one you like the best and if you win, I'll send it your way!

Glittery Layout for Another Freaking Scrappy

We are making Christmas layouts this month over at Another Freaking Scrappy! I just so happen to already have a photo I want to scrap! Look at this girl of mine! So grown up and all ready to march in the Parade of Lights here in Corning.

Here is a close up of that pretty stamped ornament (thanks Jean) and that vintage foliage. I picked the title glittery as Lexi was wearing those little battery powered lights since the parade is in the dark. So pretty.

Really loving those gold doilies on all this pretty Christmas paper! I am so pleased with this page! First one of the season!

The Seventh Jello Mold of Christmas for the Funkie Junkie Challenge

Really loved that Linda changed up this tag and ran with a bright blue color combined with snowflakes.

Linda's very awesome store, the Funkie Junkie Boutique sponsors this challenge and I was inspired quite a lot by the colors on tag number seven, the layered snow flake, and the jumping deer.  

I was quite pleased to have even included the pinecones! I didn't see any stars, but I was really happy to give a new embossing folder a try and I love how it turned out. 

That big snowflake I used as a base was actually a dollar store ornament. It's super pretty as it's already all glittery. 

Really love how it all worked out well together! Super pretty! 

Happiest of Hump Days! I'm just cresting the hump with these ornaments!

The Sixth Jello Mold of Christmas for the Funkie Junkie Challenge

This jello mold was a lot of work, but so much fun! Linda's very awesome store, the Funkie Junkie Boutique sponsors this challenge and I was inspired quite a lot by the glitter on tag number six. 

Linda's sixth tag reminded me of snow. I had been wanted to use this little ballerina since the start so I ran with turning her into the Sugar Plum Fairy.

I used white out on her yellow leotard and then covered the whole thing with glitter to make it look like snow. I perched her on a spray painted faucet handle. That crystal dangle was an earring that I lost the mate to. Love the sparkle! That little piece of ribbon came from Linda's shop! Love that variegated look!

This one might be my very favorite....but I still have a troll to work with...Let's see how that one turns out!

Ryobi Rocks & a Quarter a Call for Memorandum Monday

Just spent a couple of days in the frozen tundra part of New York. Tug Hill, home of the Amish, lots of farmers, and my 'rents. Mom cooked us up a delicious Turkey Day meal, we hung out with Dad Pratt, and went and visited Aunt Marilyn. She lives next door to where THE MAN grew up so it was interesting to see how the neighborhood had changed. They painted the pool house yellow (the nerve) and the Amish have bought up lots of farms, including Jonny's across the street.

After watching a little Amish girl walk down her driveway, Marilyn mentioned that she had installed a phone in the milk house for them to use. A quarter for a local call and fifty cents for long distance. See, the Amish are pretty old school and drive buggies around. They certainly don't carry cell phones! As far as tools go, they have specific rules around ones that are powered with electricity. As in not using them. That being said, I'm sure they would not approve of my very newest new prize of awesomeness.

Hot diggity dog. It's a freaking green battery powered hot glue gun. THAT ROCKS!!!! See, the last hot glue gun I had died in a blaze of glory, prompting me to get quite bitchy. The replacement wasn't good enough as it had a ton of glue strings, so I upsized it to another that didn't have a long enough cord. THE MAN noticed that Ryobi had just released this new tool and we have a bunch of batteries already so it's a match made in heaven.

One battery lasts two hours. CAN YOU IMAGINE! Hot glue heaven without a cord! And only one tiny drip in all that time! Let's give THE MAN a fist pump for taking such good care of my needs!

Tomorrow I'm back with the sixth jello mold for the Funkie Junkie Tag Challenge and then later on this week I'm giving some things away for Visions of Sugar Plums. Yes, hot glue was heavily involved!

The Fifth Jello Mold of Christmas for the Funkie Junkie Challenge

The fun part of these jello molds is that every single one is different. So very different!

Linda's very awesome store, the Funkie Junkie Boutique sponsors this challenge and although she is already on tag nine, I'm making some headway! I was inspired quite a lot by the colors on tag number five.

I used some pretty gold trim & gold sparkle paper with some little beaded twigs. So pretty around the bottom of the tree. 

Really love these bottle brush trees! I spent some time this past weekend using them on a different project that I can't wait to share! Tomorrow, I'm back with another jello mold! 

The Forth Jello Mold of Christmas for the Funkie Junkie Challenge

I believe I am finally catching up! I have a couple of these in the hopper to show you this week!

I wanted a poinsettia flower so badly that I took one apart I had and remade it smaller. I just used a little leaf die cut I had and cut out a bunch of petals.

 I used vintage velvet holly under the flower. How do you like that gold believe I used across the bottom of the jello mold! THANKS to Lisa for hooking me up with that word!

Piglet the Possum for Memorandum Monday

Last week I forgot to tell you about our unexpected visitor to Build Club. Piglet came via a have-a-heart trap with Volunteer Dan so he could be released into the wild. Really Dan had caught him
late the night before and Build Club starts at 8, so he brought him over to show us before he drove him a little ways away to run free into the wild near a creek. Turns out Piglet was getting into the garbage. Before you feel too badly for him, keep in mind he choose to finish the huge chunk of rotten cheese while in the cage for dinner that Dan had used as bait. So he had a full stomach and still quite a bit of attitude.

On the same subject of unexpected, someone stopped by with a fairy garden to thank us at work. I am enjoying it so much! Isn't that adorable?? Love the little copper fairy! Nice job super awesome person with your RAK! Happy Fairy Garden Dance!

I spent nearly all weekend crafting. When I wasn't crafting, I took a break to do some sanding. This little table is quite the trainwreck. I've been dying to try some chalk board paint with some of that fancy wax everyone has been using...Annie Sloan I think it is? I know you need grooves and there are lots of those on this table!

Winter Wonderland Bendi - Bendy Box for THE CUTTING CAFE

Woke up this morning to our first snow. Well, I knew it was falling last night, but I was not motivated to get up off the couch to check it out yesterday evening. We had started a fire and it was all kinds of toasty in here. The fire & snow must have inspired me to try my hand at a Winter Wonderland box. I figure this time a year you can never have too many boxes to stash gifts in! Especially one that makes the recipient want to keep the box!

I imagine this will be a good box to stash some tea in, perhaps some mulling spices for cider, and also some hot cocoa mixes. It was originally a cutting file for a bendi card sold over at THE CUTTING CAFE, but I upsized it. It's pretty easy to upsize a file, you open all of them at once and scale them together. I then place each cutting file (this box takes three to make) on it's own tab and cut each out seperately.

Gave me a good opportunity to show case the Oh Deer paper from Close to My Heart. I used a the wood pattern one for the very top so the metal leaves and snow flakes would show up. Love those baby pine cones too! I found those in the wild while camping this summer.

Washi tape works awesome for giving some contrast! And those little feet are gold ornament hangers I had in my stash! Added some glitter to make it look like snow!

Gold Leaves & Silver Pitchers Junkin' Treasures

It's been ages since I've posted about finds! I guess I don't get as much time anymore to go digging for awesome stuff, but the other day....scored this frame, those two little silver pitchers, a pile of wedding crafting stuff (a very very small sample in this photo) and that gold Eiffel tower. I think it's possible that frame might work for the water color my Mom did, but it needs some repair work first and some spray paint.

Check out that detail! So pretty! I can't wait to work on it this weekend! Hopefully will have a little more time before the snow flies!

Oh those cool silver pitchers! And check out all those pretty pearl pieces and those gold leaves! I have a huge bag of craft wedding stuff that I'm currently hoarding.
