Ticket to Ride Layout

How can you go wrong with a Beatles inspired title?

And you might ask, WHAT is Lexi holding in her hand? It's a paintball gun of course.

When your brother and his friend are out back having their own paintball war and your Dad needs to go back with the tractor? You might just get asked along to cover him. ;-)

Country kids making their own fun and when I say kids, I include THE MAN in that statement.

Here is a close up so you can see all the goodies. I used more Twisted Tea tops, I do LOVE that yellow color!

And some buttons, arrows, little banners, etc.

A side view where you can see a feather peeking out!

Incidentally, THE MAN was taking the old concrete from our steps out back to bury it. It's really just man made rock, which looks ugly all piled up. So, he dug a hole in our woods and buried it.

But, speaking of concrete, our steps are all done! I will eventually be making a layout of how it all turned out, but didn't want to make you all wait to see our hard work. ;-)

Love those purple iris!

Happy Tuesday!

  1. Lucky Lexie! I thought it was a gun:):) Those tab pulls are coming in handy - great idea for the ends of a banner:):) And feathers just look sooo cute!!! And a HUGE difference with your new path...looks really good.....garden's looking good too. It's weird to think a few months ago there was snow there, when you were photographing your LOs.....sooo green now!!!

  2. Great layout for a man and having his daughter watching his back is gorgeous. The steps look amazing as does your garden and the hit of purple from the iris is superb, love them.

  4. Grrr, phone messaging takes forever; especially when your entire message just deletes itself! What I had almost finished saying before was that the new walkway looks incredible!!! You guys did an amazing job raising the value and curb appeal of your home. It looks gorgeous and really compliments your gardens perfectly. Speaking of garden, to the right of the stairs, front row of rocks, just to the left of what looks like slate, something
is perched on the rock for the photo OP and I couldn't tell what it was. Frog maybe?
Awesome photo of dad and daughter and by the way, she is growing up too dang fast!!!! ;)
