Picture Perfect Flag Photo Page for Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge
ya know? This photo has been sitting on my desktop since I nabbed it last Fall off the school newsletter. It's not amazing quality, so best printed smaller, but as you can see, the school in a fit of patriotism asked all the kids to to wear certain colors and got them all to stand still in a flag FORMATION. Now, that right there is impressive.
Hold on, let me post the photo. It will be easier to see bigger. LOOOOVE that green of the Football field. All American right there...what a great sport. Guys in tight little pants throwing other guys in tight little pants on the ground...
ANYHOW, thanks Anne for getting me to finally scrap that photo!
I had meant to, but just time got away from me.
As you can guess, our newest challenge up at AFSC is: The challenge for the first of July is to scrap about YOUR COUNTRY or ethnic group – what it means to you, you dressed in traditional garments, you celebrating the national day for your country, or something else along these lines. The inspiration for this challenge is that on July 1st we celebrate Canada Day here where I live!
I was also inspired to pull out a few items I have been hoarding from Jean at From Paintaholic to Scrapaholic and make a few flowers to match!!
So, Jean sent me a few things she had made to celebrate Diamond Jubilee. Now, we had our own little Diamond Jubilee celebration here a few weekends back that involved too much gin, but that is a story for another day. I loved reading all the posts about various activities involving the queen and was quite jealous. I mean, our pressie is no where nears as fun as having a QUEEN!!!
One of the items she made was this little tag holder. I LOVE IT!!!
Here is the reverse side with a little crown!! Adorable!!!
And I haven't made canvas flowers in a bit, so I thought I'd made a few up. Of course this page is now super oober thick, giggle, the books I hold all my pages in HATE ME!!
UGH! This post is getting way too long. I took a couple of process photos if you guys want a tutorial on how I made them. They are pretty simple if you have a Big Shot and a Tim Holtz Tattered floral die. Leave me a comment and I'll get that posted.
Oh and before I go! Still more paper from the Ruby Rock-It Vintage collection. Love the colors!
Have a great Monday, if such a thing is possible!
