Happy Saturday!

It's going to be a rainy one, as far as I know, so I think I'll be holed up with some paper.

Worse places to be!

Anyhow, I don't know if you know this, but THE MAN and I went to high school together. I KNOW. How weird.

We dated senior year. It would be REALLY LAME for us to miss our reunion.

The MAN and I are down in the right hand corner there. I'm sporting the black dress and the dude in the brown shirt is mine.

Took a photo of our name badges so I could print them off nice and small on my page and throw them away in real life.

They did a really nice job with the reunion and aside from Doug M. calling me something that started with a B in the first five seconds (old habits did hard, he made me cry in 7th Grade) it was quite a pleasant evening. Lucky for Doug he caught me off guard. ;-) The 38 year old me would have called him a jackass under normal circumstances.

And, check out this denim flower sent to me by Lizzy Hill! She had added a pearl in the center, but I have one on a page already like that so I added a brad and frizzed up the edges a bit.

She really saved me since I had been asked to guest design and needed something denim for my page! I didn't HAVE any denim since my first thought was to hand make some flowers. Also, hunted down that denim sticker from my stash that you can just see the corner of.

I was really tickled to get an e-mail the other day from Our Creative Corner asking me to be a guest designer. They have a challenge up called Recipe Time:    

  "We can make the denim work.  So dress it up or dress it down but use:

3 ribbons and twine,  OR  3 buttons and brads, plus some Denim on a project".

Lovely people over there include my bloggy friend Lisa who DT's for them, Linda who owns the Funkie Junkie store (OH MY stay away from there unless you want to have your eye balls fall out with all the goodies) and runs  Our Creative Corner , and also Sue who leaves the coolest comments ever.
