Peanut Butter Frosting Recipe for Lizzy C

noooo, you can't have the frosting recipe first thing!!! You have to look at at few photos first!!!

My sis in law made me this page for me all for me in our Summer of 2012 Page Exchange.

We went fishing on the Little River right outside of Canton. Poor Ben. He had been watching that River Monster show. You know the one where the dude has that great voice and always lands something crazy that just ate someone the week before? Yeah. He was convinced he was the next Jeremy Wade.

I was actually quite relieved myself that nobody caught anything. It's not exactly pristine there down by the Little River and our rule is if you kill it, you eat it.

So, we went to Price Chopper and got fish dinners and fries for everyone instead! Nobody fell in and lots of poor frogs were caught. I was told Lexi even kissed one, but I think she was faking out Eddy.

And onto the recipe for Lizzy C. My sis in law is very worried that Australia may not have peanut butter frosting. ;-) Me too for that matter.

THIS is best eaten on a chocolate cake. It will make anything taste good. Is chocolate and peanut butter just a freaky American thing? I need to know!!!

Peanut Butter Frosting

1/2-3/4 c. creamy peanut butter
4 T. butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/4 c. confectioners' sugar
1-2 T. milk*

Put peanut butter, butter and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Using an electric mixer, whisk until pale and fluffy. Add in sifted confectioners' sugar. Add one tablespoon of milk. Mix by hand until smooth and creamy. If the frosting is too stiff*, add the milk one teaspoon at a time and mix by hand until the frosting is an acceptable spreading consistency for your cake/cupcakes.

And there you have it. I have another page of hers to share at some point, but it didn't scan like it should have, so I will save that for a post without a great recipe...can't have all the good stuff at once.

Happy Hump Day!!

My poor heart calmed down after reading the peanut butter frosting recipe!

  7. Love the LO from your SIL but the fish UGGGHHH!!! Was it for real?? I think peanut butter frosting is catching on in the UK but as I'm a staid old biddy I haven't tried it yet. Need to shop for peanut butter first!!

  8. Ok, I have to ask - what is confectioner's sugar - is that what you called it???!!! I HATE peanut butter. Long live vegemite. As for that stuff the kids seem to love over here, which is a combo of nuts & chocolate --can't remember the name --- sweet as, & they use it on TOAST for BREAKFAST...I'm sure some dentists run that food company!!!! BTW, those circles on your SIL's me an idea. Thank her from me:):):):)

  9. Ohhhh chocolate and peanut butter together is the BESTEST combination since-- bah! Nothing compares. Love it like there's no tomorrow! @lizzy hill- confectioners sugar is the fancy term for icing sugar :)

  10. Thank you Alison!!!! Just remembered the name of that stuff. NUTELLA. D'you have that in the USA????

  11. I LOVE PB and chocolate combos, but you don't get it so much ..outside the US...PB M&Ms are my very favourite, but just can't be found outside your fair country!!
    Alison xx

  12. What on earth is that crazy looking fish?! A giant catfish kind of thingie!! That looks like something from a horror movie!! Yup the peanut butter and chocolate thing is not African at all, guess that's why M & M's taste so strange to us...

  13. I love the little fish hooks placed on the lo! So glad you shared the recipe! LOVE pb and chocolate together!

I LOVE comments. Come on. Leave me one. They make me smile!
