And this project I am posting today was made especially for this week long blog hop!
I wanted to you show you a project where I combined something recycled with a new item and completely changed it up with paper blooms!
So, the black house part you see was previously hanging with a different clock in my friend's house. It was stained pine and in the pocket at the bottom, there were pine cones. She got tired of it, so passed it along.
I liked it, but I thought it needed a new coat of paint, some distressing, and a new clock.

I sprayed it black and then distressed the edges with a sander.
The clock itself was purchased at Walmart for around $10. It originally came with a metallic frame, but I carefully took the clock apart to repaint that a patina green. It was pretty the way it was, but there wasn't enough contrast against the black paint.

I then reassembled it and added some rolled roses I made and glittered up.
These hybrid type projects really make me happy. You then have something very original, recycle something, and also personalize it!
Happy Hopping and thanks for stopping in!
